Four-day training course to become an accredited Confidential Advisor (vertrouwenspersoon)

The four-day Confidential Advisor training is designed for individuals who wish to assume the role of an internal or external confidential advisor professionally. During this course, participants will gain insights into the relevant laws and regulations, the tasks and responsibilities, and the position of the confidential advisor within an organization.

In addition to the theoretical component, participants will learn how to effectively support and guide individuals who raise concerns about inappropriate behavior or report (alleged) misconduct or integrity violations.

Why become a Confidential Advisor?

More and more organizations are choosing to implement the confidential advisor in the organization, not only to fulfill their legal obligation to prevent unwanted behavior but also to foster a positive work atmosphere and a socially safe environment for all employees. A confidential advisor contributes to a socially safe and ethical workplace by providing a supportive point of contact for employees who encounter unwanted behavior or witness integrity issues.

• Support, guide, and advise individuals who report concerns.
• Educate, inform, and inspire the organization.
• Provide both requested and unsolicited advice to management and executives.

LIVP & Professional association LVV

This training includes course materials and a certificate from the National Institute for Confidential Advisors (LIVP). The course is delivered by a trainer from LIVP and is accredited by the National Association of Confidential Advisors (LVV). This accreditation ensures you receive a comprehensive education based on recognized methodologies. After completing the training, you will be equipped to professionally support and guide individuals reporting concerns and to inform and advise organizations on issues related to inappropriate behavior and integrity.

Registered LVV Confidential Advisor

The LIVP is authorized to provide the foundational training for participants from Curaçao or other Caribbean islands, as well as Suriname, fully online. While the LVV prefers to include one or several days of in-person contact, it understands that this may not always be feasible due to distance. This arrangement is a temporary exception to the accreditation regulations for the foundational training, applicable throughout the year 2024 and into Q1 2025.

Upon completion of the training, you can choose to register as an officially recognized confidential advisor in the Hobéon SKO professional register and join the LVV (National Association of Confidential Advisors). To do so, you will need to pass a national examination. Compliance Caribbean is currently working to establish itself as an examination venue in Curaçao and will keep all participants informed about developments.
